One of the largest travel marketplaces in MENA and APAC. Millions of travellers every month. Live inventory aggregated from 1,000+ airlines, hotels and OTAs. A hybrid metasearch-plus-booking stack that, on routes like New York–Dubai, surfaces roughly double the flight options of our nearest competitor.
On top of that sits WegoPro, our business travel and expense platform (originally Travelstop, acquired in 2023), now live across the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Egypt and expanding. The corporate business is on a path to become as large as our consumer business. That's the opportunity in front of you.
The hard, interesting half of travel tech, yours to solve
Pricing risk in real time. Cancel-for-Any-Reason. Price-freeze guarantees. Every booking is effectively a tiny insurance contract. How do we price it correctly, at scale, in milliseconds?
Sub-second search across a thousand supplier APIs. Different SLAs. Different failure modes. The user still expects an answer in under a second. How do we make that feel effortless?
Corporate travel that doesn't feel corporate. A WegoPro booking flow that's as fast as the consumer one, while respecting policy, approval chains, and finance controls.
Production-grade AI, not demo-grade AI. Itinerary generation, intelligent trip planning, automated expense categorisation, AI customer service. Shipped without the usual "demo good, production flaky" trap.
Genuinely AI-first not the slide-deck version
Every engineer at Wego has access to Claude and other AI tooling. Code assistance is standard across the engineering org. We are actively rebuilding internal workflows, invoice processing, customer support, content ops, on top of LLMs and agents.
Our CEO Ross Veitch has been explicit: AI is both the biggest opportunity and the biggest threat to travel, and we are investing accordingly.
You will not be the person introducing AI here. You will be the person deciding what we build next with it.
How we'll get to know each other
Recruiter intro

Technical assignment
A take-home rooted in a real problem we've actually faced. We pay attention to how you reason about trade-offs, not just whether the code runs.
Deep-dive technical round based upon assignment
A working session with senior engineers walking through your assignment, extending it, and going deep on system design and the decisions behind your approach.
Final with VP/CTO
Vision, scope of the role, the next 12–18 months. This is a two-way conversation — we want you to leave knowing whether this is the right move for you.
