Wego is an online travel metasearch platform used by millions to find the best flights and hotel deals. We are seeking a talented, data-driven Marketing Data & AI Engineer with a strong focus on Agentic AI to join our team.
Role Description
As part of the Marketing Technology team, you will build the next generation of marketing automation designing and deploying autonomous AI agents that drive insights from digital campaigns and independently optimize marketing operations. You will work daily alongside the Performance Marketing team, deeply understanding their KPIs (ROAS, CPA, CTR, conversion rates) and how media platforms work, their campaign structures, auction mechanics, and APIs (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Apple Search Ads) to ensure every system you build directly serves campaign performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
Agentic Workflow Development: Design, build and deploy autonomous AI agents using LLMs (Openclaw, Claude, Gemini, OpenAI) for automated workflows.
AI-Driven Content Orchestration: Engineer multi-agent systems to generate, A/B test and iterate on personalized ad content (ad copy, images, videos) at scale.
Marketing Data ETL Pipeline Management: Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines ingesting data from marketing platform APIs (Meta, Google Ads etc.), CRMs and analytics tools into centralized data warehouses for analytics, attribution and AI consumption.
Campaign Creation & Optimization Automation: Architect end-to-end automated workflows for campaign creation, audience segmentation, creative assembly, launch and continuous optimization using AI/ML signals to drive dynamic bidding, budget pacing and A/B testing across channels.
Attribution & Fraud Detection: Implement and maintain in-house attribution models and AI-driven fraud detection to provide real-time optimization recommendations and assess touchpoint impact across the customer journey.
Performance Marketing Collaboration: Partner daily with the Performance Marketing team to translate KPIs and campaign objectives into technical requirements; ensure data integrity, API reliability and consistent AI agent deployments across all paid channels.
Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years in performance/digital marketing analytics and marketing automation with hands-on experience in AI engineering.
Technical Skills: Advanced SQL and Python; experience building attribution models and data pipelines.
AI Proficiency: Proficiency building and orchestrating AI agents using foundational LLMs (Openclaw, Claude, Gemini, OpenAI); integrating LLMs and AI agents with external tools and APIs.
Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of paid/performance marketing KPIs, how media platforms work (campaign structure, auction mechanics, targeting, measurement) and their APIs (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok,), ad fraud, and MMP tooling (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Protect360).
Campaign Automation Engineering: Proven experience building end-to-end campaign automation systems including programmatic campaign creation, ML-driven optimization and automated reporting via ad platform APIs.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to bridge technical and marketing teams; detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy, model safety and quality.
