Group Finance Manager
Company Overview:
Wego is a Technology Group operating in the online travel industry with a global footprint and operations across Asia and the Middle East. As we continue to grow and expand our business, we are seeking an experienced and exceptional Group Accountant/Group Finance manager to support our Group Finance function.
Job Overview:
The Group Accountant/Group Finance manager will oversee General Ledger (GL) function of Wego Group. You will be responsible for generating full sets of financial statements for each entity within the Group on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. You are required to manage the audits of the Group and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the GL function supporting the Global Finance Operations team.
- Work closely with AR & AP functions ensuring accurate & timely record of financial transactions.
- Preparing balance sheet schedules on monthly basis for all entities.
- Manage and ensure proper month-end and year-end closing.
- Generate full sets of financial statements for each entity within the Group and prepare Group consolidated financial statements.
- Oversee the coordination and execution of audits for all subsidiaries, monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and statutory financial reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in finance processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand working capital needs and prepare cash flow forecast.
- Stay updated on FRS requirements, ensuring timely implementation and compliance.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in finance and accounting roles in a similar capacity, including some years of audit experience.
- Experience with working in fast paced environment.
- Experience in group consolidation preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
