Role Overview:
As a UX researcher at Wego, your primary responsibility would be to delve into the unique preferences and behaviours of users within the region to enhance the overall travel experience.
Conducting in-depth interviews, surveys, and usability testing specific to the cultural nuances of the Middle East, you would strive to uncover insights that inform the design and functionality of Wego's travel platforms.
Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and developers, you would advocate for user-centric solutions that not only align with Wego's business objectives but also resonate with the diverse and dynamic travel expectations of users in the Middle East.
Your role would contribute to ensuring that Wego's platforms are not only functionally robust but also culturally sensitive, offering a seamless and enjoyable travel planning and booking experience for users in the region.
Responsibilities:
User Research:
Conduct user interviews, surveys, and ethnographic studies to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize research questions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Data Analysis:
Utilize statistical analysis and qualitative coding to extract actionable insights from data sets.
Develop data-driven personas and journey maps to inform design decisions and product strategy.
Usability Testing:
Plan, conduct, and analyze usability testing sessions, incorporating feedback into iterative design processes.
Implement both formative and summative testing methods to assess the usability and satisfaction of prototypes and final products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with designers, product managers, and developers to integrate user feedback seamlessly into the product development lifecycle.
Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to ensure a shared understanding of user insights across the organization.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design methodologies.
Proactively propose improvements to UX research processes and advocate for a user-centered mindset within the company.

Background in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in UX research, with a strong portfolio demonstrating the impact of research on product design.
Proficiency in a variety of research methods, including but not limited to interviews, surveys, card sorting, and usability testing.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and compelling manner.
Experience working in fast-paced environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with remote testing tools and platforms.
Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python) and data visualization techniques.
Experience conducting international research and addressing diverse user needs.
