Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior NetSuite Consultant - Finance to join our growing Data team. This role requires a professional with a strong blend of technical expertise and functional knowledge in finance, capable of managing complex NetSuite ERP implementations and financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of NetSuite customization, system architecture, and finance operations, enabling them to lead impactful business transformation initiatives.

Open to individuals who are based in Bangalore or Mumbai and can work in office. 

Key Responsibilities

NetSuite Technical Expertise

• Develop and implement advanced customizations using SuiteScript (1.0/2.0) for workflows, Suitelets, Restlets, and other integrations to meet evolving business needs.
• Manage integration development between NetSuite and third-party systems (e.g., Salesforce, Avalara, SAP) using SuiteTalk, Restlets, and custom APIs.
• Design and optimize Saved Searches, Advanced PDF templates, and custom reports to support business operations and financial reporting.
• Maintain and enhance ERP modules, including Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.

Finance Functional Expertise

• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure system configurations align with accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards (e.g., P&L mapping, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
• Act as a liaison between finance and IT teams to translate financial requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead the design and deployment of solutions for key finance processes, such as:
• Revenue recognition and deferred revenue management.
• Multi-currency consolidation and financial forecasting.
• Bank reconciliations, payment processing, and invoicing automation.
• Provide strategic guidance on best practices for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting within NetSuite.

Solution Architecture and Implementation

• Architect scalable and efficient NetSuite-based solutions to address both technical and functional needs.
• Lead end-to-end NetSuite ERP implementations and upgrades, ensuring seamless adoption of finance functionalities.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions to improve end-user adoption and effectiveness.

Collaboration and Leadership

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and operations, to deliver holistic solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on NetSuite development, integrations, and financial processes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for resolving complex technical and functional issues.

Technical Skills

• Advanced SuiteScript 1.0/2.0 development experience (e.g., Suitelets, Restlets, and user-event scripts).
• Proficiency in NetSuite modules like Advanced Financials, Fixed Assets, and OneWorld.
• Expertise in financial modeling, accounting systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, integrations, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, BigQuery).
• Hands-on experience with reporting tools and technologies, such as Advanced PDFs, SQL, or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• NetSuite certifications (e.g., ERP Consultant, Administrator, or SuiteCloud Developer) are highly desirable.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP and financial systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial implementations and integrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Avalara, Salesforce, and OpenAir for system integrations.
• Deep understanding of multi-subsidiary setups, intercompany processes, and global financial consolidations.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
