The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our Static Data team. You will play a key role in evolving backend architecture, developing scalable systems, and enhancing static data management for hotel and flight related content such as hotel information, images, amenities, airport, routes etc. Your work will focus on ensuring data accuracy, optimizing performance, automating processes, and integrating static data seamlessly into our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services for managing hotels and flight static data.
• Automate data ingestion, synchronization, and validation processes.
• Design and implement system architecture for large-scale data management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver practical technical solutions.
• Ensure high-quality code through testing, reviews, and best practices.
• Optimize system performance and reliability.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails with experience in design patterns and multi-threading.
• Experience with microservices and relational database services.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• At least 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in the travel domain or static data systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS.
• Expertise in optimizing workflows and automating processes.
• Experience with frontend technologies and development
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve complex issues.
