The Role:
As a Payment Operations Specialist, you will manage and coordinate payment operations to ensure accurate and timely processing. This role involves handling payment transactions, resolving payment issues, and implementing payment policies. Your responsibilities require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of payment systems and processes.
What you will be working on:
You will be responsible for overseeing payment processing activities, resolving payment issues, managing relationships with payment vendors, generating reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve payment operations and customer experience.
Core Responsibilities:
Payment Processing: Oversee payment processing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely handling of payments across various channels (e.g., online card payments, bank transfers).
Payment Issue Resolution: Address and resolve issues such as payment delays, failed transactions, and disputes with support from internal teams, financial institutions, and customers.
Vendor and Partner Management: Maintain effective relationships with vendors and payment processors, ensuring smooth integration and troubleshooting technical issues.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on payment activities, analyze trends, and provide insights for improvements.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with finance, sales, customer support, and product teams to enhance payment processes and customer experience.
Skills and experience:
Minimum Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience in payment operations, payment processing, or similar roles.
Deep understanding of payment systems, including electronic funds transfers, credit cards, and virtual cards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial software, payment processing tools, and MS Office, especially Excel.
Nice to haves:
Experience setting up and managing a payment operations team.
Background in travel company operations.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
