Technical Lead, Mid Office Systems

The Role:

As the Technical Lead for Mid Office Systems, you will lead an engineering team responsible for the development and maintenance of Wego’s Mid Office systems. This role involves coaching engineers, ensuring system reliability and performance, and collaborating with product management, UX, and internal users to solve customer challenges. You will also work with other engineering teams to facilitate integrations across systems.

What you will be working on:

You will manage and mentor a team of engineers, drive the development and scaling of Mid Office systems, and work cross-functionally to address customer needs. In addition, you’ll identify opportunities for process improvements and promote frequent, high-quality releases with short feedback loops.

• Lead and coach a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

• Drive the development and maintenance of Mid Office systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

• Collaborate with product management, UX, and Customer Support to solve customer challenges.

• Work with other engineering teams on system integrations as needed.

Skills and experience:

Minimum Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering.

• 3+ years in a technical leadership role, with proven experience managing and developing engineering teams.

• Strong technical expertise in modern software development practices and technologies.

• Experience in the Online Travel Agency (OTA) industry or a related travel domain.

• Strong follow-through and follow-up skills.

• Ability to identify and act on improvement opportunities.

• Focus on solving customer problems, not just fulfilling requirements.

• Value for frequent, high-quality releases and short feedback cycles.
